My Motherless journey.

My Motherless journey.

I was a Lady who was fondly called mbugudu by her Mami.
I was a lady Who looked like her Mami in Statue.
I can still remember that faithful day when the session ended and I decided to come meet you in your warm embrace.
I had piled up stories to tell you.
That faithful day I wanted to follow Ugochi home but Dad called that I should wait for him he would pick me up..
I was surprised because often I go home myself..
I waited. I waited. I waited finally he came.
I was happy because I was going to see my Mami.
But suddenly I was told of your demise.
I couldn't understand what was going on.
I became devastated,confused.
I was filled with pain, sorrow.
I couldn't just believe it .
Even though I was crying I still had that feeling that when I get home I will see you.
Your favorite biblical passage came through. *I shall not die, I shall live to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living..
Getting home I went to your room but you were no where to be found.
I saw crowd in the sitting room consoling your daughters.
Hmm I said.
The Calabash has broken.
A great legend has really kicked the bucket.
..
Even though you are gone, I know your word you shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living came to pass.
The land of the living is HEAVEN.
You didn't die you slept and woke up in HEAVEN to declare the works of the Lord.
Sleep well Mami.
