TOPIC: Proofs Of A Changed Lifestyle (Seeds Of Destiny 16 June 2022)
SCRIPTURE: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the Church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you claim to be a Christian and your life has not changed to reflect the character of Christ, examine yourself again.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today MESSAGE:
Sometime ago, I was in an aircraft at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria and we were about to fly. Then a man who sat close to me answered a call and said, “Oh yes, I’m speaking to you from Lagos now.”
When I heard this, I was shocked. I looked at him and said within me, “What a life!” I also thought within myself: “He is about to fly, if any disaster happened to him and he lost his life, then he would have just lied before dying.” What an express route to hellfire! This is not a character of a genuine Christian. A genuine Christian tells the truth even when no one is watching.

This is because becoming a Christian calls for a noticeable positive change in character and lifestyle. Whenever a person becomes a Christian, there should be public testimonies of his changed lifestyle. And such testimonies should come from people who used to know him before he repented.
For instance, he may be a quarrelsome person before but due to the change he has experienced after being born again, when he is offended or insulted, he would simply walk away instead of exchanging words. When people see such a change in his lifestyle, they would be amazed and say, “He has really changed. Ah! If it were before, you could not talk to him like that. You could not insult him and get away with it. He has really changed.”
It is important to know that the same people who noticed how the disciples have changed were the first to call them “Christians” because of the changed lifestyles they saw in them.
Beloved, if you claim to be a Christian and your life has not changed to reflect the character of Christ, examine yourself again.

ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse to live a double standard life.
- Allow God to change your lifestyle in the way you think and act.
- Make up your mind to live the true Christian lifestyle of character, integrity, sincerity and honesty.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You transform my life to reflect Your Character and Image. Help me to be a Christian indeed, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
