Nigerian celebrities who left the secular world to preach Christ in their sphere of influence


Ever wondered what happened to your favorite Nigerian pop star or actor, at times people change career and start all over again, in this case, they are celebrities who are now using their fame and influence to preach the gospel in their sphere of influence. 

 

Here are three Nigerian public figures who throughout the years have started their ministry, preaching the gospel in such a unique way, in the world of politics, ecclesiastical and Christian movie industry.

Chris Okotie

A lawyer turned pop singer began to make moves in the Nigerian music industry in the’80. He was the toast of all the clubs and shows across the country. Chris Okotie is credited with some of the most beautiful love songs to date. He is now a pastor and has been popularly known for his strong academic and command of English in his sermons. A very educated man whose not afraid to use his skills and knowledge it for the Kingdom of God.

Joy Edjeren

Joy Edjeren is a Former Nollywood actress known as JJ Bunny, Now Saved (Born-again) Christian spreading the gospel message. She has shared her story on why she decided to quit the industry and believes she is now doing the work of the Lord. With her large followership on facebook she preaches the gospel and encourages christian filmmaking. She is based in United States.

Joseph Okechukwu

Joseph Okechukwu is an actor, known for Deceit of the Gods (2008), Alice My First Lady (2006), and Alice My First Lady 2 (2006). As of more recently he has been involved in politics and church issues with his online series and prayer sessions. As a Christian conservative and Pro-TRUMP supporter, he has been preaching the gospel and speaking on the state of nations via his YouTube Channel.
