In James 3, it compares the tongue to the rudder of a ship. Verse 4
says, “Although a ship is large and driven by strong winds, it is
steered by a small rudder wherever the pilot wants it to go.” It’s the
same way with the tongue.
Even though it’s a small part of the body, it’s steering your life.
What you’re saying is determining which direction you go. The good news
is you have control over the rudder. You control your tongue. Are you
sending your words out in the direction you want your life to go?
