MESSAGE:

Some people just love the attention that being a bearer of news, (whether false or true) gives to them. I was told that one of the most lucrative businesses now is blogging and one of the most prominent ways a blogger pulls traffic to his/her site is by writing all sorts of things to catch peoples attention, whether they are correct or not. This is not right. As a Christian you must be honest at all times with the news you share. If you have not verified the news, don’t share it with others – whether through words or on your social media platforms, so that you don’t mislead people by being a witness to a false story. Also, when you don’t share unverified news, you will escape the wrath of God because in Proverbs 19:9, the Bible says:

“A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.”

As seen in the Scripture above, the consequences of being a false witness –
whether in speech or in writing, are grievous. In addition, a false witness is a murderer in disguise; the motive cannot be mistaken – it is to destroy. I pray for you today that false witnesses will not destroy your destiny, in Jesus name.

KEY POINT:

Verify before your broadcast.

HYMN: When The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound

  1. When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound
    and time shall be no more,
    And the morning breaks,
    eternal, bright and fair;
    When the saved of earth shall gather
    over on the other shore,
    And the roll is called up yonder,
    I’ll be there.

CHORUS
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

  1. On that bright and cloudless morning,
    when the dead in Christ shall rise,
    And the glory of his resurrection share;
    When his chosen ones shall gather
    to
    their home beyond the skies,
    And the roll is called up yonder,
    I’ll be there.
  2. Let us labour for the Master from
    the dawn till setting sun;
    Let us talk of all his wondrous
    love and care.
    Then, when all of life is over,
    and our work on earth is done,
    And the roll is called up yonder,
    I’ll be there.
