Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:

Moses was a servant; Jesus is the Son. The Son is superior to the servant. That means grace is superior to the law. Is the law evil? No! The law is not evil. As a matter of fact, the law came from the side. It was not part of God’s agenda. It was the man that actually demanded the law. God never wanted to deal with the man under the law. He wanted to deal with man under grace.

What is grace? Grace is the unmerited, unearned, and undeserved favour of God. We don’t merit it! We don’t deserve it! We don’t earn it! In other words, there is nothing you can do to earn grace. It is God Himself deciding to dispense His good to you. God is showing grace because He is good, not because you are good. He is the determining factor, not you. It has nothing to do with you. There is nothing the fallen man can present before God that will be right. There is nothing! All our righteousness is like filthy rags before Him. So there is nothing really that man can do to be perfect in the sight of God. It is God that will decide that and make you perfect.

If you check the bible, you will discover that in the beginning, God was dealing with man according to grace. Before Adam came, God had already provided everything Adam needed. Before Adam came, God had provided everything that he would enjoy. Everything was in place for him. But the New Creation is better than Adam. He was a created being. But we were born into the family of God. We are sons of God, born into the family of God. What we got is much more and it is better.

God reached Abraham and called him. And He told him “I will bless you” What did Abraham do to qualify for the blessing? Nothing! God wanted to deal with man in the arena of grace all through.
