BIBLE TEXT: Luke 19:8-9

8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

MESSAGE:

Restitution is not a new doctrine; it has been practiced for a long time, as seen in today's Bible text. Restitution is an avenue to make your way right with your fellow man. It is an act of putting precisely what was wrongly done, just as Zacchaeus did. It also restores something stolen or lost to the proper owner.

Restitution is a command in the Bible to enable us to follow peace with all men. This is an essential step for every child of God to have a clear conscience. Restitution brings favor from God, speedy answers to prayers, healing, power to do exploits and fearlessness.

My beloved child, make restitution with people you have quarreled with in the past and repay all the lies you have told your parents and friends so you can have peace with God and man.

ACTION POINT:
Ask God for help and make restitutions for the wrongs you have done.

HYMN 3 – ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER

  1. All to Jesus, I surrender
    All to Him I freely give;
    I will ever love and trust Him,
    In His presence daily live.

CHORUS
I surrender all.
I surrender all:
All to Thee,
my blessed savior
I surrender all

  1. All to Jesus I offer,
    Humbly at His feet, I bow;
    Worldly pleasures are all forsaken.
    Take me, Jesus, take me now.
  2. All to Jesus, I surrender.
    Lord, I give myself to Thee;
    Fill me with Thy love and power,
    Let Thy blessing fall on me.
  3. All to Jesus I offer,
    Now, I feel the sacred flame
    O, the joy of complete salvation!
    Glory, glory to His name!

It starts here as you proclaim: Dear Father, I humbly come to you in sincere repentance, claiming you as my Lord and personal Saviour. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness, be the center of my life, and let my life revolve around you as I partake in the eternal life you gave us in Jesus' Name. Congratulations, you are now Born again.
